Jesus’ disciples came to him asking why they could not cast out the demons? He replied, “Oh Ye of little faith.” He spoke of the woman with the issue of blood and remarked about her great faith. The bible teaches that there are different measures of faith and faith cometh by hearing the Word. The more you hear the Word, the more faith you will have as you open your hearts. A serious question you should be asking yourself is, “what kind of faith do I have?”

As the coming of Christ is being revealed, Christians need to let their faith shine as a beacon of light to the world. God has given us promises that will sustain and keep us in the time of trouble. Psalm 112:4 “Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness…He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid.” The bible speaks of the heart of unbelievers failing them because of fear of all the things that will come on the earth. Jesus often told his disciples, “Fear not.” Fear brings torment and takes away our peace. God wants us to have peace in the midst of turmoil. He said, “My peace I leave with you.”

The Christian has a duty and a call from God. You must seek the Lord with all your heart; take Him as your shield. Look not to the right or to the left. It doesn’t matter what others are doing, keep your eyes on the cross. The devil will try and distract you in any way he can. Stay in your prayer closet; let your roots go down deep in Christ.

God is coming back for a people that are looking for His coming. He tells us to watch (watch with outstretched necks). God’s message is, “Be ready for you know not the moment or hour that our Lord cometh.” Prepare your hearts before God and LIVE as if He may come today.

The bible gives us a great story of the ten virgins, five were foolish and five were wise. Be a wise virgin. Do all that God commands. The foolish virgins did not get another opportunity to go and get more oil. Take advantage of God’s grace today, don’t wait for tomorrow, tomorrow may never come. The call will come, “Go ye out to meet Him.” Will you be ready?
