Jesus’ disciples came to him asking why they could not cast out the demons? He replied, “Oh Ye of little faith.” He spoke of the woman with the issue of blood and remarked about her great faith. The bible teaches that there are different measures of faith and faith cometh by hearing the Word. The more you hear the Word, the more faith you will have as you open your hearts. A serious question you should be asking yourself is, “what kind of faith do I have?”

As the coming of Christ is being revealed, Christians need to let their faith shine as a beacon of light to the world. God has given us promises that will sustain and keep us in the time of trouble. Psalm 112:4 “Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness…He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid.” The bible speaks of the heart of unbelievers failing them because of fear of all the things that will come on the earth. Jesus often told his disciples, “Fear not.” Fear brings torment and takes away our peace. God wants us to have peace in the midst of turmoil. He said, “My peace I leave with you.”

The Christian has a duty and a call from God. You must seek the Lord with all your heart; take Him as your shield. Look not to the right or to the left. It doesn’t matter what others are doing, keep your eyes on the cross. The devil will try and distract you in any way he can. Stay in your prayer closet; let your roots go down deep in Christ.

God is coming back for a people that are looking for His coming. He tells us to watch (watch with outstretched necks). God’s message is, “Be ready for you know not the moment or hour that our Lord cometh.” Prepare your hearts before God and LIVE as if He may come today.

The bible gives us a great story of the ten virgins, five were foolish and five were wise. Be a wise virgin. Do all that God commands. The foolish virgins did not get another opportunity to go and get more oil. Take advantage of God’s grace today, don’t wait for tomorrow, tomorrow may never come. The call will come, “Go ye out to meet Him.” Will you be ready?

Praise the Lord and welcome from the Columbia Community Church Family – The Hallelujah House! ‘The Hallelujah House’ is more than a catchy description of our place of worship; but it represents what we all were created to do…that is to Praise the Lord. “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.” (Psalm 150:6). “Let them (us) praise the name of the LORD: for He commanded, and they were created.” (Psalm 148:5)

It’s an honor to serve God and His people in the capacity of Assistant Pastor & Youth Pastor here at CCC. Reflecting on the last 31 years since we joined CCC after moving from Boston, it’s with humble acknowledgement of both the awesome responsibility and the spirit of servitude, that we have committed our lives to continuously praying for the souls of God’s people. Our collective prayer is best reflected in this scripture: “Beloved, I wish (and pray) above all things that you may prosper, and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2)

Our Lord says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6); our Pastors/Founders have given their entire lives to providing that much-needed knowledge of God by The Word and personal example to ensure that the knowledge of Jesus Christ is preached, taught and presented through practical living and application of The Word for living today. Earlier in this same chapter it states the reason for lack of knowledge: “for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.” Our daily mission is to bring the knowledge of God, in the person of Jesus Christ, to the city of Columbia, to Howard County, to Maryland and across the globe.

We further carry that same life-changing powerful messaging to Young Adults, Youth and our community at large. Our Young Adults and Youth are challenged everyday with making choices, where the implications of their decisions can have a life-long impact. Our endeavor is to give them the knowledge and wisdom to choose by “trusting in the Lord, and lean not to their own understanding, but in all their ways decisions acknowledge Him (seek the Lord’s guidance); and He will direct their path.”

We invite you and your family to join us, as we celebrate Christian living through teaching, preaching, fellowship and fun events.
Be blessed – On Purpose!
